We are proud to present this web site as a public service to our fellow hard working Hoosier families. This web site is intended to inform and educate fellow construction workers, the Indiana construction industry, and the general public about Harco Asphalt Paving, Inc.
We also intend to inform and educate our fellow workers on how they can make a better life for themselves and their families. This web site is designed to introduce Harco Asphalt Paving workers to some of the benefits of union membership.
We want to establish and maintain safe, secure, and decent working conditions that provide for our members and their families. Insufficient wages and benefits not only make life more difficult for employees and their families, they lower the wages and standard of living for all construction workers in Indiana.
Union members have input in controlling their wages and benefits. Absent a collective bargaining relationship (sometimes called a union contract), a contractor is free to set substandard wages and benefits which ultimately drives down living standards for the entire industry.
Collective bargaining takes power away from the bosses and shares it with the workers that actually do the work. When workers go to the bargaining table with greater control over their own future, they are better positioned to negotiate decent wages, benefits, and working conditions. Why continue to let the Paul Harding, Cindy Sartain, and the other bosses of Harco Asphalt Paving set the wages, benefits, and working conditions. Stand up and be counted! Stand up and ask for your fair share! Ask yourself, what has Paul Harding and Harco Asphalt Paving really done for me lately?
